Chips, Chips, Chips

"These wood chips are everywhere!" Yes dear, they are everywhere. No matter how often I stomp my shoes and brush off my shirt, somehow the chips still follow me around the house. The dogs also seem to like to tromp through them and take a few with them. There are a few practical uses for wood chips and if you have any other ideas, please share. We love our outdoor fireplace and wood chips are great for getting it started. Take a small brown lunch sack, fill it about half way with the chips, place it in the fireplace, light it, and then step back. This gets things started and then I add firewood to keep it going. (I've also used wood chips for packing material when transporting carvings). Carving by the fire is a great way to relax!
